India to Thailand Visa Requirements: What Indian Travellers Need in 2026
Indian passport holders can enter Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days — one of the most generous visa policies for Indian travellers in Asia. This makes Thailand the most accessible international destination from India.
Visa-Free Entry Rules
Indian citizens receive a 60-day visa exemption stamp on arrival at any international airport or land border. You need: a passport valid for at least 6 months, proof of onward travel within 60 days, and proof of sufficient funds (20,000 THB per person).
What If You Want to Stay Longer?
The 60-day visa exemption can be extended once for an additional 30 days at any Thai Immigration office for 1,900 THB. For longer stays, apply for a 60-day Tourist Visa (eVisa) before travel — this can also be extended.
Flight Routes to Consider
Direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad to Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. Budget airlines (IndiGo, AirAsia, SpiceJet) offer round-trips from INR 8,000-15,000. Transit through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Yangon is rarely needed.
